Unauthorized construction was fined 35,000

Recently, fire inspection officials from Tongde County conducted a routine check at an ongoing construction site and discovered that the Tongde County Welfare and Charity General Hospital project was being built without proper fire design approval. This violation prompted immediate action from the law enforcement officers, who ordered the work to be halted and imposed a fine of 35,000 yuan as a strict warning against such negligence.

During the inspection, officials observed that the construction site was in a disorganized state, with materials scattered haphazardly and no fire-fighting equipment properly installed. Additionally, the project had not obtained the required fire department audit opinion and proceeded with construction without authorization. This clearly violated Article 12 of the Fire Protection Law of the People's Republic of China. The inspectors documented all the violations and, under Article 58 of the same law, issued an order to stop the construction immediately and imposed the fine of 35,000 yuan. They also instructed the project manager to submit the necessary fire protection design documents for review and approval by the fire authorities before resuming any work.

So far, the project’s responsible party has fully paid the penalty and expressed their commitment to improving their understanding of fire safety regulations. They have pledged to enhance awareness among both themselves and the construction workers to ensure compliance with all legal requirements in the future.
