The team assumed that the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere was 400 ppm (1 ppm = 1 part per million), and they estimated the CO2 removal rate in offices, shops, and homes based on the volume of circulating air, respectively. It was found that if this technology is used, the Frankfurt Trade Fair Building can remove up to 1.5 tons of CO2 per hour, and 25,000 shops in Germany can capture about 1,000 tons of CO2 per hour.
