At present, LCD products require more precise light guide plate structure, and the injection molding light guide plate will become the mainstream of backlight development. However, the corresponding mold technical problems can only be overcome by a few large manufacturers. The optical technology of Weizhi's light guide plate mainly adopts two kinds of light guide plates in the form of printing and injection molding.

classification

Backlights currently have three backlight types, EL, CCFL and LED, depending on the type of light source. They are divided into side light and straight depending on the location of the light source.

Edge light

A linear or point source is placed on the side of a specially designed light guide. According to the needs of actual use, it can be made into bilateral or even trilateral. Edge-lit backlights can generally be made thin, but the light source's light utilization is small, and the thinner the utilization, the smaller, up to about 50%. The core of its technology is the design and production of light guide plates. The most common type of edge light is LED backlight and CCFL backlight. Weizhi LED edge-lit backlights have WU, WH, and WN types as single-sided, and WL, WJ, WK, and WB are bilateral. As the lcd module continues to develop in a brighter, lighter, and thinner direction, the edge-lit CCFL backlight has become the mainstream of current backlight development. LED backlight

LED lights, also known as light-emitting diodes, have the lowest power consumption of a single LED lamp compared to other light sources. From blue to red, LED lights come in many colors.

Light source effects are commonly used as "Table 1" and "Table 2"; there is also a special color that is white, and "Table 3" gives its usual range of chromaticity. In various colors, it can be roughly divided into two types: highlight and low: basically, "Table 1" is low-light (although amber, orange, and red are also slightly brighter), "Table The second and the third are highlights.

Since white is a mixed color, there is no identifiable wavelength value, so it is represented by its coordinate value on the chromaticity diagram. We customize it as "cold white" and "warm white". In all colors, there is a problem of color deviation, in which blue and white are more obvious, especially white, and now the LED supplier can not effectively control it.

CCFL backlight

The biggest advantage of this kind of backlight is that the brightness is high, so the black and white negative phase, the blue mode negative phase and the color liquid crystal display device with large area are basically adopted.

The disadvantage is that the power consumption is large, and the inverter circuit is required to be driven, and the working temperature is narrow, ranging from 0 to 60 degrees, and other backlights such as LEDs can reach between -20 and 70.
