The reporter learned from the Guangzhou Metro that the 5MW photovoltaic project of the Guangzhou Metro Yuzhu Depot, jointly built by the Guangzhou Metro and Xiamen Kehua Hengsheng, was officially connected to the grid. The project is currently the largest distributed photovoltaic power station in China with metro transportation.
The reporter learned that the photovoltaic project is located in the Yuzhu vehicle section of Line 5, and installs solar photovoltaic power generation equipment in a total of about 70,000 square meters of roofs in the vehicle section, the main maintenance warehouse, etc., using self-sufficiency and surplus power supply mode. It is estimated that the annual average power generation capacity of the project can reach 4.2 million kWh, which can replace 1623.45 tons of coal consumption per year, achieving the goal of energy saving and green sustainable development. The project power generation will be introduced into the subway line network. Under the premise of meeting the annual power consumption of the vehicle section, the remaining part will be used for Line 5, and the annual electricity saving will exceed 400,000 yuan.
According to reports, urban rail transit is equipped with a large area of ​​parking lots, depots, ground and elevated stations, elevated sections, ground entrances and exits, etc., with a broad space for the application of photovoltaic power generation systems. The Yuzhu Depot PV project is another important milestone for the Guangzhou Metro to move towards green transportation. The project has undergone sufficient research and demonstration in the previous period, from the start of construction to grid-connected power generation for more than four months.
