The design by Xu Ting and Chen Yiming takes inspiration from their earlier concept, "Jellyfish," but this time it's a more direct and pure vision of "escape." The project features a massive helium balloon that floats above the ground, carrying observation decks and creating a suspended garden in the air. This innovative structure aims to provide a clean, breathable space for people who are overwhelmed by the polluted environment below. By lifting the garden into the sky, the designers offer a peaceful retreat from the smog and noise of the city. At the top of the balloon, solar panels are installed to generate power for the viewing platforms, ensuring the system is self-sufficient. Additionally, a rainwater collection and purification system is integrated at the top, allowing the treated water to be distributed down to the ground, supporting greenery or even providing clean water for nearby areas. This combination of sustainable technologies makes the design not only visually striking but also environmentally responsible.
