AirSig turns humans into live passwords, letting devices truly know the master

Recently, I contacted a Taiwanese entrepreneurial project called AirSig, which realized this "black magic" in the world of Muggles, allowing users to write and draw in the air to achieve identity authentication.

AirSig is actually the abbreviation of Air Signature. It is an identity recognition method based on gesture recognition. It mainly detects the trajectory, displacement, speed and strength of movement and rotation through the gyroscope in the device to determine the action initiator. Identity. Minutes humans live the password, the device learns to recognize the owner, the Internet knows that "you" is not a dog at the moment.

In fact, this technology was done by many universities and companies a decade ago, but it has not been able to solve the problem of recognition speed. AirSig uses algorithm to increase the speed of judgment, which can be completed within 0.1 seconds, which is 100 times faster than the original best recognition algorithm. At the same time, the accuracy can be 99.2%, imitate the writing when the password is known, and the error rate is controlled within 0.8%. And if someone knows your traditional digital password, the probability of being cracked is 100%.

Founded in June 2014, AirSig has more than a decade of experience in network security and has worked in Acer and Trend Micro. The other members of the team are also from the security protection experience, and have also worked on government security protection mechanisms. Three months after its establishment, AirSig received a $2 million financing from Hon Hai Group (Taiwan Foxconn) with a valuation of $20 million, creating a valuation record for Taiwan startups.

Previously, AirSig had two apps, one for mobile phone unlocking, called AirSig Unlock, and one for paying wallet passwords, called AirSig Password Wallet. At the same time, AirSig also wants to enter the Internet of Things, AirSig can also achieve access control unlock.

At present, AirSig intends to open its own technology in the form of AirSig Web API for free, allowing developers to integrate technology into their own apps to achieve more interesting features. They plan that online technical licenses are free and offline versions are authorized for charges.
