The 32-layer 3D NAND flash memory chip independently developed by China was unveiled at the first Digital China Construction Achievement Exhibition. The chip is the core project of the National Memory Base. At present, the chip production machine has officially entered the installation on April 11, and is expected to achieve mass production within the year.
According to the data, the National Storage Base Project was jointly invested and constructed by the Ziguang Group United Nations Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund, Hubei IC Industry Investment Fund and Hubei Science and Technology Investment Corporation in 2016. The total investment is US$24 billion and it is located in Wuhan East Lake High-tech Zone. The base will build three 3D NANDFlash production plants. At present, the first phase of the project has been completed, and the first 32-layer three-dimensional NAND flash memory chips will be mass-produced before the end of the year. Industry insiders analyzed that the chip will fill the gap in the mainstream memory field in China.

In addition to the NAND flash memory chip, at this meeting, Ziguang Group also exhibited the SIM card chip using Flash technology, the financial IC card chip THD88 dual interface module certified by the international CCEAL5+, and the domestic proprietary property million-gate high-performance FPGA. Ziguang Tongchuang PGT180H and other mobile communication and Internet of Things chips. According to the disclosure information of Ziguang Group, in the chip sector, Ziguang Group has assembled the entire industrial chain of chip design, production, manufacturing, packaging and testing, and will build an integrated circuit industry cluster.
