This issue occurs when the bearing outer ring moves within its housing due to misalignment or improper fit. Here is a detailed step-by-step guide for repairing a semi-open bearing housing: **(1) Surface Preparation:** The surface to be repaired should be polished to create a cross-shaped groove. This helps improve adhesion and ensures that the bearing surfaces at both ends of the hole remain intact as the mold's positioning reference. **(2) Degreasing:** Use Kesaixin @1755 Scavenger to thoroughly remove any oil or grease from the surface. This step is crucial to ensure proper bonding of the repair agent. **(3) Mold Fabrication:** The mold should be designed with an outer diameter equal to the bearing’s outer ring diameter. The length of the mold should be 20–40 mm longer than the width of the bearing hole. The surface roughness of the mold should match the original bearing housing. **(4) Release Agent Application:** Apply a thin layer of Kexinxin 1731 release agent on the finished mold. This prevents the repair material from sticking to the mold during the curing process. **(5) Repair Material Application:** Mix the repair agent according to the manufacturer’s instructions and apply it evenly to both sides of the bearing hole. Leave a small margin to allow for trimming after the material has cured. **(6) Mold Installation:** Place the mold on the lower half of the bearing housing and press it firmly into place. Remove any excess material that spills out during the process. **(7) Securing the Mold:** Coat the upper part of the housing with the repair agent and secure the mold using bolts, following the installation specifications. Wipe away any excess material before the repair agent begins to cure. **(8) Curing and Finishing:** Allow the repair agent to cure for 8–16 hours at room temperature (25°C). Once cured, remove the bolts and carefully take off the mold. Use sandpaper or a trowel to smooth any rough edges. Finally, check the dimensions and appearance of the repaired bearing hole to ensure it meets the required standards. This method effectively restores the integrity of the bearing housing, ensuring long-term performance and reducing the risk of future failures.
