TLV has introduced the "Pocket Trapman PT1," a portable device designed to efficiently monitor the operation of steam traps, valves, and bearings. This handheld tool allows users to quickly assess whether a steam trap is functioning properly or if it's leaking. Simply place the sensor against the target surface, and the PT1 can detect leaks in gas pipelines or faulty valves. In addition to identifying leaks, the PT1 is also capable of detecting vibrations from rotating equipment, such as bearing components. It measures the acceleration and displays the peak value and average value (CF value) in decibels (dB). The device also provides surface temperature readings, covering a range from 0°C to 350°C. If a steam trap or valve is leaking, the PT1 emits an ultrasonic alert. The device can identify the presence of a leak based on the intensity of the sound. It supports four types of steam traps and three types of valves, making it a versatile tool for maintenance and diagnostics. The PT1 can store up to 200 test results, allowing users to track performance over time. Its compact design and user-friendly interface make it ideal for on-the-go inspections and routine checks in industrial settings.
