National coal railway transportation capacity reaches 3 billion tons

The "Energy Development Strategic Action Plan (2014-2020)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan") released on November 23 confirmed that clean and efficient development of coal-fired power will change the mode of coal use, and efforts will be made to increase the ratio of concentrated and high-efficiency power generation in coal. To improve the access standards for coal-fired power units, the coal consumption for newly-built coal-fired generating units is lower than 300 g/kWh standard coal, and pollutant emissions are close to those of gas-fired units. In addition, we also mentioned the promotion of the construction of a large coal-electricity base. It will focus on the construction of 14 million-ton-ton large-scale coal bases in Jinbei, Jinzhong, Jindong, Shendong, Shaanxi, Huanghua, Ningdong, Luxi, Lianghuai, Yungui, Langzhong, Henan, Inner Mongolia, and Xinjiang.

Yesterday, the “Energy Development Strategic Action Plan (2014-2020)” (hereinafter referred to as “Action Plan”) issued by the General Office of the State Council once again mentioned the green low-carbon strategy. Efforts will be made to optimize the energy structure and take the development of clean, low-carbon energy as the main target for adjusting the energy structure. Adhere to the development of non-fossil energy and the efficient and clean use of fossil energy, gradually reduce the proportion of coal consumption, increase the proportion of natural gas consumption, substantially increase the proportion of renewable energy such as wind power, solar energy and geothermal energy, and the proportion of nuclear power consumption, so as to adapt to China's national conditions and be scientific and reasonable. The energy consumption structure significantly reduces energy consumption emissions and promotes the construction of ecological civilization.

Using the most advanced energy-saving water-saving environmental protection power generation technology, we will focus on the construction of 9 million-kilowatt large-scale coal and electricity bases in Xilin Gol, Ordos, Jinbei, Jinzhong, Jindong, Shanbei, Hami, Zhundong, and Ningdong. Strengthen the construction of coal and railway transportation corridors, focus on the construction of railway coal transportation channels from western Inner Mongolia to Central China, and improve the east-west coal transportation channels. By 2020, the national coal railway transportation capacity will reach 3 billion tons.
